Feature · Sharing
Share your period with your partner – on your terms
Wanting your partner to understand your cycle does not mean handing over your diary. In Ovulyx, sharing is a set of small switches that you control.
In short
- Sharing starts private. You open up only what you want to.
- Choose exact days, or only the pattern of a phase.
- Set different rules for different people and hide single entries.
- Your partner can share their cycle with you too, if they want to.
Start small
Invite your partner from the profile. By default they see which phase it is and what might help today. Anything beyond that – feelings by day, symptoms, details – you switch on yourself.
What you can control
- Feelings day by day, or only an average per phase
- Symptoms: hide them completely, or share only their intensity
- “Share more detail”: exact days or just the pattern
- Visibility of single entries, such as “Have a hot water bottle ready”
- Different settings for each person you share with, with “Reset to standard” to undo them

Preview before you trust
The Partner tab shows exactly what the people you share with see. If you are unsure about a setting, look there first. Your own notes always stay private.
Sharing both ways
Cycles are not only one person's topic. If your partner tracks too, you can share cycles both ways: one of you sends a request, and once it is accepted you see each other's – while each of you still decides separately what to show.
Examples of sharing setups
- Close partner: phase, daily mood and the “What helps” list, with symptom intensity only if you choose
- A friend or family member: the phase only, so they know when you may need a lift
- Nobody: you keep everything private and still get predictions, diary and insights for yourself
What it is not
Ovulyx shows context, not control. The goal is that your partner knows when to take a task off your plate, not that they monitor you. You can stop sharing at any time.
Try this
Share your daily mood and the phase first, and add details after a few weeks if it feels good.
Frequently asked questions
Can I share my period with someone who is not my partner?
Yes. Sharing works per person – for example with a close friend or family member – and each person can get different settings.
Can I stop sharing?
Yes, at any time in the profile. The other person then no longer sees your information.
Does my partner see my symptoms?
Only if you allow it. You can hide symptoms entirely or share only how strong they were.
Do I need an account to try it?
Yes – you sign up with email in the app or on the web app, and then invite your partner.
What if I want my partner to see more later?
You can open up further at any time in the profile under Us, one setting at a time, and take it back just as easily.
Can I hide a single entry from my partner?
Yes. Each entry in the phase lists has a visibility switch, so you can keep individual items to yourself.
